NOT EVEN WITH A PETAL refers to how women and everyone, for that matter, should be respected always. This piece is part of the collection, STORY OF A WOMAN is a homage to women and their role in society and the family. It is a sap green painting with photographs and writings about women. The background, as almost all my work, is texturized mimicking the old walls from my hometown Cartagena, Colombia. In the center of the painting there is an image of a flaming heart with a crown of roses. Another image depicts a very elegant lady with a bright yellow coat. To the right, there is a realistic painting of a yellow rose that seems to be taped to the wall with a masking tape. On the bottom edge the writing says in spanish: More Respect to Women. It is a happy painting with a powerful message.
